Player Bio
How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?
My gameplay style revolves around my greatest strengths as a pitcher, which are my ability to identify and exploit batter tendencies, having a high accuracy percentage, and effectively sequencing pitches utilizing three different speeds. I rely heavily on my ability to replicate my game routine, emphasizing breathing techniques and maintaining my composure regardless of outcomes.
Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?
My softball personality consists of two sides: energetically pumping up my teammates in the dugout when we are on offense, or when I am not in the circle. Once I am in the circle, it's me against the batter. I am completely focused and determined to use everything I have to beat the batter in front of me. I have worked hard on theses aspects with my mental performance coach at Fearless Fastpitch!
Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?
I have been an active member of the Girls Scouts of America since I was 5. I am a recipient of the Silver Award for working with community members to bring working gardens to the school in my city. I am currently working toward my Gold Award by developing and implementing a mental performance / pitching program for the next generation of softball pitchers [8U-14U].
What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?
Through my work with Girl Scouts of America, The Range Pitching Academy, and volunteering with my community softball recreational league, I have developed leadership skills, while understanding the importance of community and teamwork. Some of my favorite things to do outside of competing in the circle, is to give back to the younger generation of softballers!
Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.
The most significant challenge I have faced, are the whispers who tell me I am too small. Standing ta 5'4", I have used this to fuel my competitive fire, which leads me to my second greatest challenge. Balancing the rigorous academics of Catholic School, a part time job at The Range Pitching Academy, personal training, and 6 days of pitching training, is challenging, but absolutely rewarding!
What type of college are you looking for?
I am looking for a college where I can have an impact on and off the field. A competitive environment that values me as a player and person and will allow my voice to be heard. I love to be challenged and am confident in my ability to compete and be successful at the next level!
