Softball aficionados throughout Louisiana have become accustomed to seeing Kynzee Anderson sport the green and gold of Calvary Baptist Academy. Anderson is in her senior season with the Cavaliers, and she looks to finish with a flourish before she begins wearing Georgia’s red and black. Anderson has gone a combined 49-3 the last two seasons, and has already been victorious in her first five appearances in the circle. She has tossed 25 innings and has only allowed five hits, two runs, and six walks to 44 strikeouts. Anderson has won five state championships throughout her career and is in search of a sixth this season.

Kynzee Anderson has been on the varsity team since seventh grade and went through her struggles in the circle early on, but has steadily improved every year and is coming off a spectacular junior season. In leading her team to a state championship, Anderson was 24-1 with a 1.26 ERA, striking out 245 batters in 145 innings pitched and holding opponents to a .127 average. The Georgia commit capped her season with a five-inning no-hitter in the state title game after striking out 13 batters in a complete-game shutout in the semifinals the day before. Anderson was nearly as impressive at the plate, batting .466 with 14 home runs and 45 RBI in 36 games for a 1.544 OPS. She has a lightning-quick bat that generates power to all fields, and she tunnels her rise ball and changeup well with a wide range of speeds.
