Bryli Seifert Feels Right At Home With LSU Commitment

Bryli Seifert Bryli Seifert MIF Platte County | 2027 #30 Nation MO knew from the moment she first attended a camp at LSU three years ago that she wanted to play for the Tigers.

“I really fell in love with the place. The culture was just so breathtaking, and I felt like it was home,” she said. “I don't even know how to explain it. I got there, and it was like, ‘Wow, this place is for me.' I kept going to camps and every time I got on campus, I knew that's where I wanted to be.”

On the first day college coaches could contact her 2027 recruiting class, the LSU coaches reached out to Seifert. By that night, the Platte City, Missouri native had committed to join the program.

It fulfilled a goal Seifert made for herself once she began playing softball more competitively and quit basketball to make the sport her main priority. Seifert is a three-time all-state, all-region, all-district, and all-conference selection for Platte County High School. She plays travel ball for Top Gun National 18U, and batted .432 with 19 home runs, 21 doubles, and 78 RBIs this past season.

Seifert, the No. 30–ranked recruit in Prep Softball's 2027 class, started her softball career as a pitcher who would sometimes play shortstop. But she gave up pitching and is now a utility player who can play numerous positions.

“I like the variety just because whenever I get to college, I'll be able to play anywhere on the field and be able to help myself get into the lineup,” said Seifert, a two-time PGF All-American. “I really enjoy playing every spot. As long as I'm playing, I don't really mind where I play.”

Seifert's parents have been influential in her development. Her dad is a high school football coach and helped with her recruiting process and her approach at the plate.

“We just have really deep conversations about softball,” Seifert said. “And then my mom helps get me everywhere. She used to be a coach too, and she travels with me everywhere and helps me with the mental side of softball.”

Seifert is the oldest of three children, with a younger brother and a younger sister.

“I enjoy it just because I like to give feedback to my siblings and help them out. I love being around them,” she said. “My younger brother is a freshman now, so he'll soon start going through the recruiting process because he plays football. I am just glad that I'll be able to be there and help him through it along with my parents.”

In her spare time away from softball, Seifert enjoys reading books, baking, and shopping.

“I like to shop, like most girls do, which my mom isn't very happy about sometimes,” she said with a laugh.

Seifert plans to study business at LSU. The major seems fitting for a utility player like Seifert.

“There are so many different things you can do with a business degree, and I like marketing too,” she said. “I could go give lessons and make my own business out of that. Or if I wanted to start a clothing brand, I could also do that. There's just so many different things you can branch off with all your interests.”
