2028 Prospects Ready For The Spotlight

With September 1 quickly approaching, 2028 prospects around the country are stepping up to perform in front of college coaches this summer. The best players love the spotlight, and the five players listed here have always embraced the big situations that decide softball games and seasons.   Below, Prep Softball highlights five standouts from the high school class of 2028 who always perform when the moment calls their name.    Teuila Jaelynn Eteaki currently sits at <a href="https://prepsoftball.com/national/player-rankings/2028-national-rankings/" type="link" id="https://prepsoftball.com/national/player-rankings/2028-national-rankings/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">No. 7 in the Prep Softball 2028 rankings</a> and is always ready to deliver in key situations with her bat. At the recent Patriot Games in June, Eteaki hit .692 across her 13 at-bats, driving in 11 runs during the event. Prior to that event, she helped Athletics Mercado to the PGF June Premier Invitational Co-Championship with a .588 average and eight RBI. Eteaki has attended camp at Texas A&M and UCLA so far in 2026.     Behind a strong high school season and a good start to club play, Savannah Toukatly is making strides in the circle. Toukatly recently got the opportunity to play in two elite tournaments, testing her mettle against great competition. During those two events, which included a trip to Colorado, she struck out 25 batters while walking just two. During her high school season with J.W. Mitchell, she earned a 1.01 ERA across 142 innings of work with 1.67 strikeouts per inning. Toukatly is one of the best pitchers in her class and will receive deserved recruiting attention for her ability.     Siri Krabbe's bat is one any college coach would love to have in their lineup. During a trip to Colorado, where her Intensity 16U team played in games featuring the best club teams in the country, Krabbe hit five home runs against top-notch pitching and batted .462 across the tournament despite a slow start, battling adversity to succeed. During her high school season, Krabbe's power showed off in the form of 12 home runs. Krabbe attended camp at Michigan and Florida in January and will continue to get looks from the next level.     Teal Hamman's versatility both at the plate and in the field makes her a great option for any college program. She showcased her ability to both hit for power and average at the recent Sparkler tournament, hitting .545 with a home run and no strikeouts. She was able to switch from power hitting to bunting for a hit with ease. Hamman also avoided allowing an error despite playing three positions in the field. After recently attending camp at Clemson, Duke, and Florida State, Hamman is ready for whatever comes next in her recruiting journey.     Peyton Grindstaff has a potent bat and steady presence behind the dish for both her club and school teams. During her high school season at Garrett, Grindstaff earned First-Team All-Conference and Third-Team All-State honors for her performance both in the batter's box and behind the dish. This summer, she has played a tough schedule with Armor Elite, preparing her to succeed against the best. This year, Grindstaff has attended camp at Purdue, NC State, and Indiana as her recruiting process kicks into high gear.
