10 Top Performers From Atlanta Legacy In The 2028 Class

The spring and summer months are chock-full of marquee travel softball events. One of those marquee softball events takes place in the Atlanta metropolitan area.    July's second week is when the Atlanta Legacy Showcase takes place at numerous venues in the area. The Showcase also recently merged with the Alex Wilcox Invitational.   We at Prep Softball were also on hand for the week's festivities, and below, we highlight 10 of the top performers from the event in the 2028 class.     VA Glory National 16U was never placed in the loss column throughout this year's event and only tied once. Ella Robles' bat was highly instrumental in her team's success. It was during Friday's play when Robles made her presence known. Her team put together an 11-4 victory over Unity Bryan Jones 2027/2028, and Robles slugged two home runs while collecting three RBIs. She was a tough out throughout the weekend because of her powerful bat and her patience at the plate, as she displayed in an 8-2 victory over D1Vision 16U Premier, in which she drew a couple of walks, scored two runs, and stole a base.      Georgia was affected by rain the entire weekend—the type that falls from the sky and the kind for the 5-0-1 VA Glory National 16U assembling that caused problems for opponents. The first contest for Rain Ritchey and her team was a 1-1 matchup against USA Prime National Halstead 16U—one in which Ritchey had the lone RBI for her team. She contributed an RBI double in a 3-0 victory over Tampa Mustangs 16U. Ritchey also contributed two of the seven hits that led to the 8-2 victory over D1Vision 16U Premier. The final stop of the summer for VA Glory National 16U will be next week in Indianapolis at the Alliance Nationals.      During the high school season with Tecumseh, Kennadi Fulton reached the 200-strikeout plateau for her varsity career. She has continued that stellar work into the travel season. Fulton's team went undefeated for the Atlanta Legacy weekend, including a 3-0 victory over Pennsbury Gems Gold, in which Fulton tossed three innings and struck out five batters. When her team scored a 6-1 win over Orion Hunters Elite 16U, Fulton threw two innings of relief while striking out four hitters. She had more than enough run support in a 14-1 rout of Sarasota Heat Boesen 16U that saw Fulton retire five more hitters via the strikeout in three innings of work.      Reagan Martin's Tampa Mustangs Gleason 16U team was also among the squads that departed from Georgia with an unblemished record. She was part of a ferocious offensive attack that tallied 50 runs in four games. Two of those runs were driven in by Martin in a 12-0 rout of Lady Dukes Arroyo 16U to begin her team's time at Atlanta Legacy. Martin also contributed to a 14-0 win over Impact Caymol Simmons 16U, in which she not only plated two more runs, but also scored a pair of her own. Two home runs were also part of her weekend. Up next on the schedule for Martin and Tampa Mustangs Gleason 16U will be the PGF Nationals.      NC Challengers Premier Renzi 16U was another team that finished 4-0-1. The team had plenty of tough outs throughout its lineup and the standout from 7A Reagan was one of the toughest. It was on Friday when Maggie Stogner's team scored 15 runs against Lady Dukes Arroyo 16U. Her performance in that contest included two runs scored, a double, and three RBIs. NC Challengers Premier Renzi 16U's final matchup of their Atlanta Legacy weekend was against Armor Elite C/S/L 27/28 Carver. Her team only mustered four hits in a 2-2 tie, but two of those were off of Stogner's bat, including another RBI.      Payton Yi is one of those in-state prospects who has a quick turnaround from the travel schedule to school ball. Said schedule with 7A Lambert commences at the beginning of next month. On Thursday, she scored two runs and delivered two hits against VA Glory National 16U. The rising junior Longhorns standout is also a consistent threat to steal bases, hence why she bats at the top of the order. In a 7-2 victory over Carolina Impact KB, her performance included three hits, a double, a stolen base, and three runs scored. She also drove in four runs on three hits and scored two in a 10-3 victory over Birmingham Bolts Premier 2029 Whitaker. Last month, she represented South Korea at the Triple Crown International Challenge in Denver.      The weekend for Parker Harrison and Atlanta Premier Gold Jiles 16U began in inauspicious fashion with a loss to Wow Factor National Marinakis 16U before her team finished its time at Atlanta Legacy with four consecutive wins. In one of those wins, an 11-0 shutout of Sarasota Heat Boesen 16U, Harrison scored two of those 11 runs. Her team followed that up with a 14-0 rout of Shamrocks Jenkins 16U, in which she was only a triple shy of the cycle. That triple would occur on Saturday against Orion Hunter Elite 16U, and it was one of six Atlanta Premier Gold Jiles 16U hits in a 4-3 win over the Virginia-based team.      In spite of rain being the story of the weekend, Leela DiTullio's Wow Factor National Marinakis 16U team still got six games in. She had a solid showing throughout those six contests, as did her team—it went 3-3 to win its group. DiTullio's weekend began with a 6-3 victory over AP Gold Jiles 16U. Her day included a double, two runs scored, and an RBI. The next day, Wow Factor National Marinakis 16U blanked Carolina Elite 16U Smith/Owens by a final score of 9-0. DiTullio had a single and a run scored in that contest. In an 8-4 win over Pennsbury Gems Gold to finish the weekend, DiTullio had a home run, an RBI, and three runs scored.      Being from New Jersey and playing for a team based next door in Pennsylvania, Madison Spiteri and her Pennsbury Gems Gold team had a longer trek than most to arrive in Georgia for Atlanta Legacy. Her team's first victory was a 14-4 win over Carolina Elite 16U Smith/Owens. Spiteri had three of Pennsbury Gems Gold's baker's dozen of runs. She also delivered one of her team's two doubles in a 5-5 tie with So Cal Athletics National McLemore 16U. Spiteri had another double plus two RBIs, as her team finished its Atlanta Legacy weekend with a 4-2 win over Wow Factor National Marinakis 16U.      TN Mojo Pardue 2027 concluded its weekend in Georgia with a 3-0-1 showing and looks ahead to next weekend's PGF National Championships in California. White finished her weekend with a .556 average. It began with an imposing performance from White in a 10-1 rout of Fusion 16U Premier Clark that included two home runs, three runs scored, and five RBIs. White continued her solid hitting performance in a 5-5 tie with Carolina Elite Cheek/Genovese 16U that included a double, a single, and a run scored in three at-bats. She made the difference in a hard-fought 3-2 win over GA Power Gold 09 Smith 16U with two more runs driven in.
