While this summer recruiting season may feel like it's all about the 2028 and 2029 prospects, there are plenty of 2030 players who are gaining attention and boosting their recruiting stocks.

Below, Prep Softball highlights five players from the high school graduating class of 2030 who college coaches should be excited about.

A 2030 star in the making, Maddie Edwards hails from the softball-rich state of Georgia and is a talented outfielder and shortstop in her class. Playing club ball for Impact Caymol 2029, Edwards will compete for Buford High School in the fall. Edwards also competes in track and maintains a 4.0 GPA in the classroom, showing her versatility and dedication to the different parts of her life as both a student and an athlete. With continued growth and development of her skill set, we expect that Edwards will be a prospect who college coaches are excited about.

Audrey Dubenske is an impact player in the 2030 class out of Wisconsin. A catcher and utility player who can do a ton on the field, Dubenske competes on the travel circuit for Beloit Rage 14U and is a rising freshman at DeForest High School with a 3.6 GPA. She currently stands at 5'4" as a left-handed batter and right-handed thrower, and possesses a 70 mph exit velocity. When she is not holding it down for her team behind the plate, she is typically playing first base at a high level.

Bailey Wade is a standout player in the 2030 class, who impresses onlookers on the softball diamond as both a first baseman and left-handed hitter. Hailing from Illinois, Wade plays travel ball for Central Illinois Select and will attend Washington Community High School in the fall. She brings a high softball IQ to the field and a 4.0 GPA to the classroom. Wade is a leader on the diamond, who moves on quickly from mistakes and tries to encourage her teammates to do the same. In the circle, she relies a ton on movement and placement of her pitches rather than velocity, and loves to throw first-pitch changeups to get batters off-balance and drop balls to finish them off. Wade is a multi-dimensional player who should only continue to improve on the field.

Kendall Beck is an impressive 2030 recruit from Maryland, who competes as a middle infielder at both shortstop and second base. Playing travel ball for Lady Dukes Lynch 14U and attending high school at Rising Sun, Beck is a three-sport athlete who also competes in basketball and volleyball. She describes herself as a leader and a communicator on the field, and takes pride in being someone her teammates can count on defensively. As someone who enjoys hard work both in and outside of the classroom, Beck is definitely someone college coaches should be excited about recruiting soon.

Kassia Stedman out of Connecticut is a catcher and first baseman for Rhode Island Thunder Gold 14U National Lieto/Lotti. A rising freshman at Staples High School, Stedman also plays the violin in the chamber orchestra and maintains a 4.0 GPA in the classroom. As a player who puts in a ton of work on her softball skills off the field, we expect Stedman to continue to grow her game and become a prospect who college coaches are thrilled to soon recruit.

While this summer recruiting season may feel like it's all about the 2028 and 2029 prospects, there are plenty of 2030 players who are gaining attention and boosting their recruiting stocks.
