2029s Who Should Be On College Coaches' Radars This Summer

It's a big summer for travel softball prospects in the 2028 class, but members of the 2029 class will also be laying their foundation for the remainder of their recruiting journeys.   Below, Prep Softball highlights five players from the high school graduating class of 2029 who we believe should be on college coaches' radars this summer.    Madison LeVasseur can just about do it all on the softball field. A versatile player who can play well at first base, second base, and in the outfield, she competes for Florida Stars Fastpitch-Race 14U with a strong understanding of the game and a balance of both athletic and academic abilities. LeVasseur owns a 3.8 GPA in the classroom and brings that same level of dedication to the softball diamond. As she continues to develop her skills and gain exposure over the summer, LeVasseur will position herself as a player to watch in the 2029 class.     Elliana Williams is a talented prospect in her class who brings strength and versatility to the field for her team. FRom Wesley Chapel, Florida, Williams attends Wiregrass Ranch High school and plays multiple positions on the field, including first base and in the outfield. As a freshman who played varsity softball this spring, Williams posted a .367 batting average, .412 OBP, and .981 FPCT. That type of production laid the foundation for a recruiting journey ahead that will likely consist of plenty of attention from college coaches and many opportunities to showcase her budding skill set.     Camryn McClain is a New Jersey native who is an aggressive, quick, and highly-disciplined prospect in the 2029 class. She can drive the ball into the gaps and remain under control in all situations with solid discipline at the plate. She is a mentally tough player, who plays high school softball for Randolph High School and travel ball for NJ Stars Fastpitch KP 14U. McClain, who plays tough at both first and third base, carries a 4.1 GPA in the classroom. She is a natural-born leader with several qualities that college coaches will be on the lookout for this summer and beyond.     Alexis Gomez is a multi-sport athlete in the 2029 class who also gets it done on the volleyball court. Gomez, who is from Michigan, competes on defense as a middle infielder at both second base and shortstop. Batting from the left side and throwing right-handed, Gomez played varsity softball as a freshman at Allen Park and proved her worth from the jump. The Finesse Gomez 14U player also carries a 3.9 GPA in the classroom and brings a ton of value on and off the diamond.     Aubrie Fieber is a center fielder and shortstop in the 2029 class from Grovetown High School in Georgia who plays travel ball for Complete Game 16U. A true utility player who brings a strong frame to the diamond, Fieber carries a 3.9 GPA in the classroom and the ability to change a game with her skill set on the field. As someone who plays in the highly-competitive softball state of Georgia, Fieber has already been tested and given opportunities to succeed against top competition.
