2029 Prospects Catching Fire Before Summer Ball

Salmeron was one of several freshmen on the 2026 Marshall team, and she can operate defensively as a catcher, utility player, or even a pitcher. She managed to lead her Eagles in a variety of statistical categories throughout the season, including batting average (.660), on-base percentage (.746), stolen bases (19), and runs scored (34). The Bears put together an overall record of 17-5, and Karalynne Carmon was one of the key catalysts behind another winning season for Chittenango. She is a right-handed pitcher who can also play at either third or first base, and this season, she compiled an ERA of 2.20. Even in a recent 12-11 loss to New Hartford in the Section III Class A championship, Carmon helped her team's cause with two RBIs and a run scored. That team is 4A South Florence, and Page White has spearheaded much of the Bruins' efforts throughout the 2026 campaign. White typically hits second in South Florence's order. Prior to running into the juggernaut that is Gray Collegiate in tournament play, White contributed in a 15-0 rout of Airport with a double, a walk, an RBI, and two runs scored. She also plated four runs and scored one of her own in a 7-1 victory over Midland Valley. White had a .449 batting average in 2026, in addition to an on-base percentage of .522. Her play helped 7A Heritage to a stellar 23-4 record. One of Ellis' signature performances occurred earlier in this year's tournament, as the Huskies defeated New Bern by a final score of 7-2 to advance to the East Regional. Ellis recorded 15 strikeouts while only allowing two earned runs, three walks, and four hits in a complete game. Breese Central won 17 games for the first time since 2022 and improved from 10 wins in 2025. Eden Campanella got the job done both at the plate and in the circle for her Cougars, including a one-hit, 12-strikeout performance in a 9-0 shutout over Salem. Campanella also retired 14 Highland batters via the strikeout in another 9-0 shutout victory that also saw Campanella help her own cause with a run scored and two RBIs.
