2032 Prospects Making A Name For Themselves Early

It's never too early to make it known to the softball world that you are an up-and-coming talent. From the swamps of Florida to the Texas heat, young players nationwide are proving that they can handle their own against any competition that comes their way.   Below, Prep Softball highlights prospects from the high school graduating class of 2032 who are making a name for themselves early.    The state of Florida is always a hotbed for softball talent, and E'ngland Durant is quickly making it known that her name should be on the must-watch list. The skilled catcher recently completed her sixth grade season with the varsity team at Lakeland Christian High School. In 15 games, she had a .333 batting average, seven hits, seven runs scored, four RBIs, one double, and two stolen bases for the Vikings. She is able to generate impressive power with a short, compact swing, and the ball jumps off her bat. She has already proven that she can handle her own against tough competition, and she will only continue to get better.     Adalyn Norris is simply raking at the plate. As of this writing, the Alabama native is hitting .513 for the Dothan Warriors after 25 games of the travel ball season. She has little stride, good bat control, power to all fields, and is able to stay focused on the game. In the circle, she has excellent pitch location, a mystifying drop ball that often leads to several backwards Ks, and the ability to consistently switch speeds to keep hitters guessing. She brings plenty of determination and enthusiasm to the field, not to mention speed on the bases.     It doesn't matter if she's on the bases or in the outfield, Layla Good will always hustle. Hailing from Grove City, Ohio, the athletic infielder is not afraid to dive to make a catch, and doesn't wait for the ball to come to her. While her primary position is second base, she is a versatile defender, and can hold down any position on the field. At the plate, she is able to generate plenty of power by getting her arms extended. Case in point, she recently hit a 240-foot blast that sailed over the center field wall. She also has impressive bat-to-ball skills overall, and can easily leg out an infield hit. For a pitcher, she is a problem waiting to happen. For anyone else, she is a huge asset.     From her drop to her rise to her changeup, Emma Stephen has plenty of movement on her pitches. She is able to hit all four quadrants of the strike zone, and also has the ability to crank out a pitcher's pitch to get hitters fishing. Behind the scenes, she puts in the work, going through countless pitching drills, and has shown plenty of perseverance in her young career. While some pitchers rely almost solely on the swing and miss, Stephen can catch hitters looking with a knee-buckler, and force them to swing away. Additionally, she can handle her own against tough competition, which will play well in the softball-loving state of Texas.     It pays to have a hitter who can spray the ball all over the field, and that's what Maycee Wieser brings to the table. The accomplished slugger has strong pull power, but also has the ability to go with pitches and hit the ball the other way. She has a short, level swing, and can drive the ball to the outfield gaps for extra bases. Wieser is also quick on her feet, and can wreak havoc on the bases. She is a confident hitter, and an all-around solid athlete. It is an exciting time in the state of Nebraska for softball, and Wieser is primed to excel.
