2031 Prospects College Coaches Could Notice Soon

Though the class of 2031 is still extremely early in its college softball recruiting journey, several players from the class have already proved themselves to be both skilled and powerful when it comes to their style of play. Whether it be in the circle, in the outfield grass or infield dirt, or in the batter's box, these five 2031s are bound to catch the attention of college coaches very soon.   Below, Prep Softball highlights five prospects from the high school graduating class of 2031 who we expect college coaches to soon notice.    Brantley Bachman, a 2031 pitcher and utility player, displays a high and mature level of play on the softball field. Her work ethic is second to none, along with her strength and skill, which shows for her both in the circle and the batter's box. As a pitcher, her fastball is consistently near 58 mph, topping out at 62 mph. At the plate, she has had an incredible start to her 2026 spring season, hitting .602 with two home runs. Brantley provides a lot of power in all aspects of her game, and will likely attract big attention from college coaches in the coming years.     Faith Hargis, a slapper from Pine Richland, is always a tough out. With speed, skill, and smarts, she is a consistent threat from the left side of the batter's box, causing a lot of chaos for other teams' defenses. Not only is she good offensively, but also defensively too, as she is able to cover a lot of ground and come up big for her team. Faith is a dynamic player, and one who college coaches are really going to want to watch as she continues to grow her game and develop her skill set.     Jane Tobin is a skilled middle infielder, playing her spring season at South Park. Her softball IQ shows through in the confidence she has when approaching the ball, making plays, and leading by example on the softball field. All of these qualities are important for a successful shortstop at the college level, and the fact that she has them now means that she will someday be a perfect fit for a college coach who is looking for someone to lock down the infield.     Veda Shook is an extremely talented infielder, known for her gold-glove defensive capabilities. She joined Team Pennsylvania last summer, and has been a mainstay in the team's infield ever since. She is reliable, hard-working, and dedicated to helping her team win. College coaches will definitely want to be on the lookout for Veda now and in the years to come.     And last but not least is Addison Pepper, a left-handed pitcher out of Avon Grove, who is a true flame-thrower. With a fastball sitting at 53 mph and topping out at 54 mph, she has a lot of proven power with an exciting opportunity for growth in her skills still to come. At the plate, she also provides power to her team's lineup, as she recorded a max exit velocity of 56.7. College coaches will definitely want to keep their eyes on Addison as she continues to develop her skill set throughout her playing career.
