These athletes aren't just swinging for the fences, but they're also driving the ball with authority to all fields, consistently finding barrels and turning solid contact into extra-base production. With advanced approaches at the plate and the ability to adjust to different types of pitches, they keep defenses on their heels and offenses moving.

Below, Prep Softball highlights five 2031 hitters who are proving that power isn't just about home runs—it's about a hitter's impact from gap to gap.

Hollie Anderson is a multi-sport athlete who is also building a resume as a track and field competitor alongside her growing list of softball achievements. Her ability to deliver extra-base hits has allowed her to play up in class with Bombers Gold SETX 14U. One of her team's recent wins was a 13-3 decision at the expense of Strykers Gold 14U Rodriguez. Anderson delivered a pair of doubles plus three RBIs in that contest. She has also spent a bit of time wearing the Aeros Softball 14U uniform. Earlier this month, the team defeated Firecrackers-HTX 14U Kay/McKinney by a final score of 7-4. A highlight of that contest was a triple by Anderson.

Florida is consistently teeming with softball talent, and Aliyah Denmark appears to be another player who is set to rise up the Sunshine State's ranks. While Denmark primarily garners attention for what she gets done in the circle, she can also cause problems for opposing pitchers at the dish. In late February, Denmark had the opportunity to sport the uniform of LTP Royals Blue 14U. One of her team's games resulted in a win against Nassau Tigers Bernard 14U. The 7-6 decision included a Denmark triple. Prior to that, Denmark's team also earned a 12-6 victory over Lightning Premier 14U. She helped her team's cause with a two-run home run on a 2-1 count in the bottom of the first inning.

When one wears the uniform of the softball juggernaut that is 6A Buford, that automatically earns more attention than the average youngster. That will eventually be the case for Ella Paige Roche. She has become accustomed to wearing green and gold, as those are the colors of Atlanta Vipers 2031 Kotula. In mid-February, her team took part in the PGF Florida Fastpitch Classic, while playing up in class against squads from the 14U ranks. Her squad finished with a 4-1 record and she helped her team's cause by batting .700 with a pair of triples and six RBIs. Her team was also the only 12U squad in the 14U division at the Owl City Showcase to close out Atlanta Vipers 2031 Kotula's fall season. Her team also went 4-1 at that invite and she added three more doubles and three more triples to her resume, along with a .733 on-base percentage and a 1.385 slugging percentage.

Regardless of the sport, playing on a varsity high school team as a seventh grader can come with its fair share of growing pains. However, Brenna Hicks is proving she is already finding her footing with Williamsburg. It was not that long ago when the Yellow Jackets hosted Lynn Camp. Williamsburg trailed the Wildcats late in that game, prior to Hicks delivering a walk-off, two-run double to win it for her team. Hicks also delivered a pair of triples, plus five RBIs in her first high school scrimmage. Another big game for Hicks occurred in a 7-6 victory over Model. Hicks not only scored four runs and plated another run, but she was also a home run shy of the cycle.

Maddie Zerbee is currently in the middle school ranks with James W. Parker and is more than poised to continue her upward trajectory as her playing career blossoms. If she makes contact with the ball, which she does often, there is a good chance that ball will find its way to the outfield, or even beyond it. Back in October, her Tri County Surge Aul 14U team put together an emphatic run-rule victory over Krush Carpin 14U. The final score was an eye-opening 22-0, and Zerbee helped the offensive onslaught with a double, two singles, three runs scored, and three RBIs. Earlier during the fall travel season, her team defeated Erie Lady Outlaws Eliason 13U by a much closer final score, 8-6. Zerbee helped Tri County Surge Aul 14U get in the win column that day with a triple, two singles, two runs scored, plus one RBI.
