Lila Boilegh wearing a Red Riders uniform means Weir will be a program to be reckoned with statewide for the next several years. Boilegh plays for a Keystone State team in Team Pennsylvania Hall/Madison, and recently clocked 66 miles per hour on the radar gun. Boilegh has been honored by USA Softball as an All-American and was recently one of two players from her travel team to receive an invite to its High Performance Program National Selection Event in Florida.

Over the last few years, George Washington, which moved up in classification from 3A to 4A beginning last season, has been in the win column more often than not. Kynzi Bellamy, a WV Xplosion product, is set to ensure that the Patriots remain there for the next several years. In late October, her team took part in the Carolina Elite Classic Fall Showcase in Raleigh. Bellamy tossed six innings while only allowing one walk and striking out 14 batters. In addition to her stellar work in the circle, Bellamy has also played at first base throughout her playing career. As the saying goes, she is just getting started.

Hannah Miller has spent her club softball schedule wearing the uniform of Ohio Outlaws Premier 2011 Murnahan. Over the summer, she decided to add volleyball to her athletic schedule when she attended a camp at Marshall. At the Outlaws Summer Invitational in Ohio, she was one of 15 players who qualified for the 14U all-tournament team, and one of six players from her grassroots assembling to earn said honors. Miller is a problem for opponents both in the circle and at the plate. She posted a .500 batting average at the Outlaws Summer Invitational and tossed nine innings, while fanning 14 batters at the same event.

[player_tooltip player_id='151908' first='Harley' last='Martin']'s career recently suffered one of the most noteworthy setbacks an athlete can experience: a torn ACL. Given what Martin has already accomplished throughout her playing career, her comeback is sure to be more emphatic than her setback. Her Tennessee Mojo Murnahan 29/30 squad began its fall schedule by participating in the Ohio Storm Fall Kickoff in the east-central realms of the state. She helped her team finish with a 6-1 record at that event, en route to a championship game appearance. Martin batted .500 for the weekend with 10 hits plus seven RBIs. She also hit .500 to help her team to a 4-1 showing at the Outlaws Summer Invitational.

Niah Verdula is another notable name from the WV Xplosion 16U 2025 club team. She thrives as a utility player and plays up in class on a 16U team. One of the highlights of her fall travel season with WV Xplosion 16U 2025 was a 13-0 run-rule victory over Unity Richards 27/28 16U. Verdula scored a pair of runs in that blowout win. Another highlight occurred the month before at an invite in Kentucky, when her team rallied from behind to earn a 3-2 victory over the Independence Patriots. Verdula singled to plate a run in the bottom of the fourth to tie the contest at two runs apiece. In late June at the Mountain State Showcase in Parkersburg, she scored two runs to help her team to a 4-1 win over Cap City Force, and delivered two hits in a 3-1 win over Nitro Fastpitch 16U Walker.

Winning softball has become common at Lewis County, and that theme continued last season by virtue of its 18-7 record. The program is already familiar with the Oldaker name, as Brooklyn, a pitcher and third baseman, was a freshman last season. Bailey Oldaker has already amassed plenty of accolades throughout her playing career, including earning USA All-American honors at the 12U level. Over the summer, Oldaker's Lady Dukes 14U team took part in the All-Sanction World Series. Oldaker posted an OPS of 1.643, along with a home run, a triple and five RBIs. Her middle school career came to an end at Robert L. Bland MS, and she batted .592 with seven triples and five doubles as an eighth grader. She also hit three home runs, drew eight walks and contributed 24 RBIs, plus an on-base percentage of .672 for the Patriots. Expect that high level of production to continue with Lewis County, and for her high school team to remain a force to be reckoned with.

West Virginia's softball scene continues to produce exciting talent, and the class of 2029 is already turning heads across the Mountain State. From dynamic pitchers to powerful hitters and versatile all‑around players, these rising stars are poised to shape the future of the sport in West Virginia at both the high school and collegiate levels.
