It is among a handful of states that stages its high school softball season during the fall semester instead of during the spring.&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>It is also a state that is rich in softball talent. Regardless of if one is in one of the large metropolitan areas of St. Louis or Kansas City, in the Columbia-Jefferson City region or south towards Joplin and the Ozarks, one will find noteworthy prospects.&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>A number of those names are younger talents who are in the process of establishing statewide – and even national – profiles. Bella Green has also worn the Indiana Magic Gold uniform throughout her travel career. An intriguing prospect out of Lee's Summit, she is also a utility player in addition to what she gets accomplished as a catcher. Green understands how to make contact with the bat in addition to consistently getting on base. Baserunners have to be very cautious when attempting to run on Green as well. In 12U play, she helped her Indiana team finish in third place at Alliance Fastpitch Nationals. The Wildcats finished with a 24-6 record and were one of eight teams that earned a berth to the Class 5 state tournament. Gianino recently obtained a personal milestone by hitting 60 miles per hour with her right arm. She plays up in class with Missouri Gators Gossage 16U. Her team participated in the USSSA Missouri East State Tournament back in June. She took part in the D9 Coastal Classic Showcase and posted an on-base percentage of .588, along with a home run. That same month, her talents were on display in the St. Louis suburbs at the HFL Fall Championship. Corwin helped her team finish in the top 24 with more stellar work in the batter's box. She hit .500 with a .611 on-base percentage plus eight hits. Along with being a Missouri prospect, she runs on the club circuit with a Hawkeye State–based team in Iowa Premier Fastpitch 14U National Dickel/Paz. Kallial is defensively versatile, as she can play primarily at any of the three outfield spots and can also see time at second base. She has been a USSSA All-American on three occasions. Kallial has also seen time as a right-handed pitcher, and her club career has included a stint with the STL Mayhem. Opposing pitchers have to prepare for if Anderson will take on the role of a slapper or a power hitter when she is at the plate. That typically depends on what situation she is in when at the dish in terms of the inning, run differential and baserunners that are on. Last month, her team prevailed over Indiana Magic Gold in a 6-0 shutout at the Clearwater Fall Classic in Florida. Anderson's work included a hit, a run scored and a walk. In mid-October, Buschmann played up in class at the Easton Elite Fall Showcase, which was also in the St. Louis area. In a victory over Kansas-based Select Fastpitch Arion, Buschmann delivered a hit, scored a run and drew a walk.
