Top 2030 Prospects To Watch In Massachusetts

The home of Boston College and Boston University, Massachusetts is rapidly rising as a home for strong softball. The class of 2030 is no exception, continuing to put Massachusetts — and New England as a whole — on the map as a place where softball talent can thrive.   Below, Prep Softball highlights five of the top players from Massachusetts in the high school graduating class of 2030.    [player_tooltip player_id='104030' first='Jocelyn' last='Cabral'] is establishing herself as one of the best catchers in her class and among the best hitters in Massachusetts. At the Bombers Elite Fall Showcase, Cabral hit an impressive .714 with five RBIs and five stolen bases. Earlier in the fall season at the New England College Showcase, Cabral hit .571 against 18U teams, stealing four bases and driving in two runs. A two-sport athlete who is currently in her basketball season, Cabral was a USA Softball All-American over the summer.     An infielder with power-hitting abilities, Kayla Sek is developing an impressive resume within the class of 2030. Sek drove in 22 runs across her fall season with the Polar Crush, hitting .615 during the campaign. She was part of a squad that went 4-1 at the GSE Fall Classic, where her team hit .491 and outscored opponents 53-9. At the Bombers Elite Fall Showcase, she drove in four runs in just two games played. With her team, she attended college skills camps at Central Connecticut State and Bryant.     Another representative of the Polar Crush travel softball organization, Maya Oliva is off to an impressive start with her club team. At the Bombers Elite Fall Showcase, Oliva hit .511 and was strong behind the dish, catching 25% of runners attempting to steal a base against her. Oliva attended a hitting clinic with Boston College's coaches during the fall season, and also attended a camp at Georgia over the summer. As one of the top hitters in her class from Massachusetts, Oliva was recently selected to play in the Winter All-American Games in Houston.     Alongside Cabral, [player_tooltip player_id='148082' first='Devyn' last='Amico'] was a USA Softball All-American and played in the All-American Games in August. Batting leadoff for her team, Amico went 4-for-8 in Oklahoma City against elite competition from across the country. Amico played for the Polar Crush during the fall season, for whom she earned three hits and drove in four runs against 18U competition during the last weekend of October. Two weeks prior to that, Amico drove in eight runs in four games, helping her team to a 4-0 weekend record.     Delaney Buckley made an impact for the Polar Crush this fall season. During the first weekend of November, Buckley went 5-for-12 at the plate across six games, driving in five runs and hitting a home run in the event, while also helping her team to a 5-1 record. The week prior to that, Buckley drove in four runs in four games while taking on 18U teams. Buckley competed with Amico and Cabral in Oklahoma City on the USA Softball All-American Region 1 Stars team.
