Like most high-level softball players, Khloe Williams Khloe Williams Khloe Williams 1B/OF Broken Bow | 2028 #5 Nation OK aspires to play at a prominent NCAA Division I program. But her reasoning goes beyond just competing against the best players. It's about what it would represent.

Williams lives in Broken Bow, Oklahoma, and is a member of the Choctaw Nation Tribe. Her mom is Native American and Mexican, and her father is Black.

“Coming from a small town, I want to show girls that are just like me that it's not going to be easy, but if you want it that bad and will work for it then it'll come to you,” said Williams, a 2028 recruit. “I want to be a role model for little girls and inspiration to show younger people that you can accomplish anything you want.”

Earlier this year, Williams played for Team USA at the U15 Pan Am Championships in Mexico and the WBSC U-15 World Cup in Italy. She earned Pan Am Most Valuable Player honors after batting .611 with 11 hits and 11 RBIs.

“It was amazing. It was so fun just being with girls from around the world. I feel like international softball is a whole different level than playing just in the U.S.," she said. "It was a surreal moment for me, because I'd never thought that I'd be there on that stage. Once I was there, I tried to soak it all in because you don't know if you will ever be back there.”

Williams participated in dance when she was younger until her mom signed her up for the local Little League. Given the choice of which she preferred, Williams realized it was an easy decision.

“I was like, ‘Man, I don't really like this dance anymore. I'm going to go play softball,'” she said. “It was T-ball at the time, so I went and I just fell in love with the game. My brother is 11 months older, so we got to play on the same teams, which was really fun."

Success didn't come immediately, however. The left-hander was given her position because she lacked some basic skills.

“I could not catch the ball and I could not throw the ball, so I played right field,” Williams said with a laugh.

It didn't take long for Williams to improve, and she moved into the infield by 10U. She played shortstop and catcher before finding a home at first base.

“I actually love first base, because I like talking to my pitchers,” said Williams, who still plays the outfield when needed. "I'm not gonna say I know how it is to be a pitcher, but I know a bunch of pitchers are mentally hard on themselves, and they need somebody to lift them up when they're not doing so well. I feel like I have to be there for them.”

Williams played for a local travel team before moving to the Bombers organization. At the end of 2023, she joined Impact Gold and currently plays for the Impact Gold Jazz 16U team.

“(Owner) Jazz Jackson Vesely took me in when I didn't have a home. I came from nothing and she embraced it because her and her coaches saw something in me,” said Williams, who maintains a 4.0 GPA at Broken Bow High. “Being with her, the coaches, and the girls on my team has been amazing. I'm extremely grateful for everything she's done for me.”
