Zoe Pisio was part of the junior varsity softball team this past season at Cy-Woods. The prowess she displayed throughout the spring and summer is a sign that varsity status is in her not-too-distant future. Her summer with Bombers KTX included a stop at the Southwest Summer Nationals in the Austin area. In one of the contests her team played in, Pisio tossed a no-hitter along with driving in a pair of runs at the plate. Overall, her team finished with a 5-2 record that weekend. Pisio had a batting average over .500 and also led the tournament in stolen bases.

It was only last month that Sophie Young was featured as one of Prep Softball's players who are winning with hustle and heart. With Top Gun 16U Gold Kansas City, Young threw a no-hitter while not allowing a walk in a 16-0 rout of KC Bombers 18A Garrett 18U at the Craig Riggs Memorial Tournament. She had another career highlight the ensuing month at the Top Gun Invitational when she stole home while playing with Athletics Russell 18U. Young will have a quick turnaround to the start of the regular season in Missouri, as it is one of the states that plays high school softball as a fall sport. St. Michael the Archangel's first game is Sept. 3 vs. Odessa.

Audrey Mulauski also had the privilege of displaying her skills with multiple travel teams over the past couple months. In late July, she wore the NC Challengers Fastpitch Herbert uniform, and concluded one of her days by tossing seven innings and striking out 15 batters, allowing only two walks and three hits. Mulauski did the bulk of her work over the last several weeks of summer ball with the Carolina Dirt Dawgs. One of her tournaments resulted in her displaying more stellar work in the circle, with over seven innings pitched, while allowing only two hits to 11 strikeouts. When Mulauski's 2026 high school softball season begins, she will be a part of an Apex team that makes the big leap from 4A to the newly-created 8A classification.

By the standards of Patriot's most-recent softball history, the previous season can be seen as a huge success. The left-handed Avery Munson was part of a Pioneers team that concluded the 2025 season with a 14-7 record, which marked the team's winningest campaign since 2013-14, when Patriot finished with a 17-3 record. She wore the Virginia Unity uniform this past travel season, competing on the 14U level and batting .426 with a .500 on-base percentage, plus scoring 18 runs and driving in 19 more. This included competing at the PGF Summer Cash-ionals in Spartanburg, where she hit .545 with a .625 on-base percentage, four runs scored and seven RBIs. Munson also helped her team finish in the top 25 of the Colorado Sparkler National 14U Power Pool.

Allison Cramer may play her high school softball in Michigan, but she competes with an Indiana travel team during the months of the club softball season. Wearing the Firecrackers IN 16U McBride uniform, one of her stops during the summer was in Kansas City at the USA-ES World Championships. Cramer hurled 18 innings and struck out 28 hitters, while also driving in three runs at the plate. Prior to that, she and her teammates also took part in the Midwest Firecracker earlier in the month. Cramer lifted her team with 16 more strikeouts in 11.2 innings from the circle, while also delivering four hits and a .467 on-base percentage.

Taylor Purchas is a three-sport athlete who also competes in volleyball and track alongside her softball accomplishments. She is a talented southpaw who played up in class during her club softball season with Illinois Chill Gold 18U. Last month at the Easton Invitational, Purchas batted .389 with an on-base percentage of .421. Purchas also lifted her team with her bat and glove to win the 18U championship at the Team 1 Elite Club Invite in Kansas City. The Homewood-Flossmoor standout blasted home five runs, with one of those RBIs driving in the go-ahead run and a defensive assist which prevented a rally in the 18U semifinals during bracket play. That semifinal win was a 4-3 decision over Louisville Lady Sluggers Huecker, and the team's championship victory was a 3-1 win over Fury Platinum X-Higdon.
