Paizley Boman had her first career start in the circle on March 12, pitching against the Lehi Pioneers—a team that finished last season in the Utah 6A softball championships. That was not exactly an easy matchup for a freshman, but the righthander shut the opposition down, striking out 11 batters in nine innings and allowing only one hit. Boman has not let up since, as she leads all freshmen in Utah with 62 strikeouts at the time of this writing, and ranks seventh in ERA (1.63) among all pitchers in every class statewide. So far in her young career, she has averaged nearly nine strikeouts per appearance. The Spanish Fork Lady Dons are the reigning 5A softball champions, and with the addition of Boman in the circle, they look as dangerous as ever.

The defending Utah 6A softball champion Riverton Silverwolves were off to a 9-0 start at the time of this writing, and freshman Grace Leary has played a big role in that hot start. She leads her team in hits (17), runs (15), RBIs (22) and doubles (5), and ranks in the top three in every other offensive category. She can hit for power to all fields and almost always puts the ball in play. To boot, she had only struck out once this season at the time of this writing. She also has a perfect fielding percentage, and can play anywhere on the field. Her three stolen bases make her a threat on the basepaths, and she's a perfect rally starter for any squad that desperately needs a hit. It's always a joy to see a freshman have such a large impact on a team, and Grace is one of those special players.

Falynn Randall has already had quite a historic playing career to date. In 2022, she became only the 21st girl to play in the Little League World Series for baseball, representing the first-ever team from Utah to advance to the event. Since then, she's found plenty of success on the softball field as well. At the time of this writing, she currently leads all freshmen statewide in home runs with five, and has a .529 batting average with 20 runs scored, 18 hits, and 18 RBIs for the Snow Canyon Warriors. She is part of a high-powered Warriors offense that scored 141 runs in their first 16 games. Randall stays busy throughout the school year, also playing basketball and soccer. She is a terrific athlete and a big talent to watch.

Allyx Navares may be just a freshman, but she is also the backstop for perhaps the best pitching staff in Utah high school softball. The Lehi Pioneers only surrender an average of four runs per game, and with the astronomical offense surrounding the sport at the moment, that is quite a feat. She holds her own behind the plate with a quick pickoff move and a rocket of an arm. She also had yet to make an error this season at the time of this writing. She can swing the bat as well, as she currently holds a .481 batting average with 13 hits, six RBIs, two doubles, and one triple. Hailing from northern Utah, she is another solid addition to Lehi's skilled club, and she certainly has a bright future ahead of her.

Coming off an appearance in the 2A/3A softball championships last season, the South Sevier Rams got off to another strong start this year with a 9-1 record. Newcomer Navey Lindsay may just be their MVP so far. She has a perfect 3-0 record in the circle as of this writing, with a solid 2.26 ERA, 34 strikeouts, and a minuscule .184 opponents' batting average. At the plate, however, she could be even better. Lindsay sports a .548 batting average with 18 runs, 17 hits, 12 RBIs, five doubles, and two home runs. She ranks in the top three in every offensive category for the Rams. When she's not playing high school ball in rural Utah, she competes on the travel ball circuit for the Firecrackers out in California, gaining experience in the circle and with the bat at a high level.
