Top 2028 Prospects To Watch In Nevada

High school softball in Nevada is in full swing, with many of the top teams and players already making a significant impact on the field. For many softball players in the class of 2028, these past few weeks have offered their first taste of varsity softball, which grants both a learning experience and a chance to stand out.   Below, Prep Softball highlights some of the top softball players from Nevada in the high school graduating class of 2028.    Lilly Easton is a dynamic infielder who can slot in anywhere up the middle in both high school ball and travel ball. She's already demonstrated a unique ability to adapt to new positions and slots in tremendously well across the diamond. That versatility alone could be enough to earn her a spot on a high-level college team one day, but her consistent bat makes Lilly a top-tier prospect. She has a ferocious swing that generates incredible power to all sides of the field. As she continues to grow and mature as a hitter, Lilly could turn into the exact type of five-tool player that college coaches look for. With a strong freshman year, she'll set herself up well for a decorated high school career.     Breanna Nielsen is a standout player at Shadow Ridge High School, making her a tremendous addition to an already successful softball program. Breanna is a strong athlete who also plays flag football and has already shown her ability to overpower hitters with a plus fastball, adding in strong movement on her off-speed pitches. Thus far this season, at the time of this writing, she has not yet been utilized as a pitcher with Shadow Ridge, playing instead at third base while batting .294 through the first eight games of the season. Wherever she ends up playing in high school and beyond, Breanna is well on her way to carving out a significant role on the field at a high level.     Morgan Delph has already played travel ball with 18U teams, so it's no surprise she landed on this list even without much playing time with Bishop Gorman High School yet at the time of this writing. She's exactly the type of first baseman every team wants. She's tall and agile with a long swing that helps the ball absolutely fly off her bat. Even playing up a few years throughout her travel ball stints, Morgan has successfully held her own and even stood out at various tournaments and showcase events she's participated in. If she can increase her contact rate and continue to send balls over the fence, Morgan will become a dynamic power hitter and key player for Bishop Gorman in the coming seasons.     Taylor Puffer is another prospect who has already played on 18U travel teams and stood out, despite being years younger than her teammates and the competition she's faced. She is a versatile infielder who stakes her claim at third base with swift feet and a strong arm, but is also a player who can be moved around nearly anywhere on the diamond without a dip in her production. On top of that, she's exactly the type of middle-of-the-order bat that college teams look for, and she also doesn't strike out too often. Taylor is primed to be the vocal player on the roster who will rally her teammates, both now and in the future.
