These young athletes showcase exceptional skills on the field and in the classroom, positioning themselves for success at the collegiate level.</p>   <p>Below, Prep Softball highlights some of the top softball players from Utah in the high school graduating class of 2027.</p>   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">Nation 18U/16U</h2>    <p class="text-gray-700">Lindsey Strieby is a dedicated and hardworking pitcher and utility player for the Nation 18U/16U team. She attends Cedar Valley High School and maintains a 3.9 GPA. She excels academically and athletically, consistently demonstrating her commitment to personal growth. On the field, Strieby has a strong presence as a pitcher and is also a vocal leader, effectively using her voice throughout games. Off the field, she works hard by running extra miles after practice and holding herself to high standards for the next level. Her achievements include being named to the 2023-2024 Honor Roll, joining the National Honor Society, winning the 2023-2024 JV Softball MVP award, and lettering in softball as a freshman. Lindsey is known for being respectful, hardworking, and passionate about striving for excellence, and she is ready to continue making an impact.</p>    <h2 class="wp-block-heading">Utah Sliders</h2>    <p class="text-gray-700">London Bishop is a talented Bear River High School catcher, maintaining a 3.9 GPA. She has earned a spot on the honor roll, been recognized as Bear of the Month, and received the Bear Paw Award. Known for her strong presence behind the plate and exceptional leadership on her high school and Sliders teams, Bishop showcases her powerful arm by successfully throwing out runners. She utilizes her strength at the plate to hit the ball into the gaps and get on base. She is also a multi-sport athlete, earning a letter in volleyball. As a SALT (Student Athlete Leadership Program) member at Bear River, she demonstrates her commitment to athletics and academics while celebrating multiple championships with her Sliders team. London Bishop's hard work, respect, and academic and athletic excellence will lead her to the collegiate level.</p>     <p class="text-gray-700">Molly Canfield is a dedicated and passionate Bear River High School athlete, playing third and second base. She is also a proud member of the Sliders organization. Canfield successfully balances her academic pursuits with her commitment to softball, maintaining an impressive 3.7 GPA. In the classroom, she takes honors classes and has been recognized as a teacher-nominated Bear of the Month. On the field, she focuses on her overall growth as an athlete. She showcases her quick reflexes at the hot corner. As a freshman, she earned a varsity letter and played a key role in her team's strong third-place finish. Known for her strong work ethic, she exemplifies teamwork and consistently demonstrates leadership through various volunteer roles with her team and in her community. Molly Canfield's work ethic and leadership make her an invaluable asset to any team she is a part of.</p>     <p class="text-gray-700">Paycie Richards is a first and second baseman from Bear River High School. Her versatility enables her to demonstrate her skills at various positions. Known for her tenacity and strong work ethic, she earned a varsity spot as a freshman and brings a competitive edge to every game she plays in. She is always ready to hustle—her determination and commitment make her an invaluable asset to her team. She demonstrates her leadership at first base with quick reflexes and the ability to field any ball that comes her way. Academically, she excels with a 4.0 GPA. She has been an active National Junior Honor Society member for several years. Richards fell in love with the game at age 9 while playing for the Utah Sliders, shaping her skills and knowledge. She aims to compete at the collegiate level, balancing her athletic goals with academic excellence and a passion for the game.</p>    <h2 class="wp-block-heading">USA Athletics </h2>    <p class="text-gray-700">Jaydan Bushman is a determined and hardworking multi-sport athlete who consistently strives to be the best she can be on and off the field. As a competitor, she thrives on challenges and enjoys proving others wrong when they doubt her abilities. Her exceptional work ethic earned her a starting position on Riverton's varsity softball team as a freshman, where she played a crucial role in helping her squad secure the 6A state championship. With a .429 batting average, she excelled in crucial playoff moments, proving her ability to perform under pressure. She also earned the 2024 Riverton Softball Rookie of the Year award. Bushman is an exceptional middle infielder who continually seeks to improve her skills and find ways to elevate her game. She is a dedicated student with a 3.5 GPA and a place on the Academic Honor Roll. Outside of school, she lifts weights and competes in various activities, showcasing her potential as a top student-athlete.</p>     <p class="text-gray-700">Londyn Rentmeister is another standout athlete from Riverton High School, maintaining an impressive 3.87 GPA. She has been part of the Academic Honor Roll since entering high school. Rentmeister is a key player for the Riverton team as well. She is a talented second baseman known for her consistency, versatility, and stellar glove, instilling confidence in her teammates. She often demonstrates the adaptability to excel at various positions on the field as well. Known as being one of the most consistent players for her teams on both sides of the ball, she is a reliable source of offense, delivering clutch performances in critical moments. She made the USSSA All-American team and went to Florida to represent the team. Her high softball IQ, combined with her relentless dedication to mastering parts of the game, truly distinguishes her as a passionate student of the sport.</p>    <h2 class="wp-block-heading">Utah Freakz 08</h2>    <p class="text-gray-700">Addi Thompson is a standout talent among the 2027 prospects in Utah, notably as one of the best catchers in the region. She attends Riverton High School, where she maintains a 3.27 GPA. She also earned the 2024 Riverton Softball Golden Glove Award. Known for her high softball IQ and constant desire to learn, she consistently sharpens her skills both on and off the field. Thompson has a solid swing at the plate and consistently performs well offensively. She finds ways to score runs and take extra bases, boasting a career batting average of over .450. Thompson uses her high softball IQ and leadership behind the plate to succeed as well. She excels as a multi-sport athlete, competing in both softball and volleyball, which showcases her elite athleticism. Thompson is a competitive player who is fluent in Portuguese and will graduate high school early, demonstrating her overall dedication as a student-athlete.</p>
