She has one of the most efficient swings you'll ever come across, which is what makes it so effective. A regular toe tap is followed by a clean swing path through the zone. Once the ball is in play, she utilizes her 5'8" frame and sneaky speed to quickly get around the base paths. In the circle, Brenna slings the ball out of her hand, and it gets on the hitter faster than you'd expect. With more development in the next two seasons, Brenna can take the strong skill set she already possesses and turn it into something lethal at the high school level that can be very appealing to college coaches.

Riley is the definition of a do-it-all player on the softball diamond. Not only can she pitch at a very high level, but she is also a skilled infielder who has developed the range to play right field when needed. That alone will inevitably draw college coaches to her in the coming years. Though she stands at just 5-foot-3, she uses unmatched speed around the field that allows her to get to nearly any ball hit her way. Over the next two years, she could develop the arm and range to play on the left side of the infield and further expand her skills. In the circle, she is very smart about pitch selection and utilizes a strong drop ball and changeup that cuts away from righties. Riley could certainly be a hot commodity as a recruit in the next two years.

Kayden is one of a talented trio of softball sisters dominating the Delaware softball landscape. Both of her sisters play on high-level travel teams and are sure to be on some of our future lists. Kayden was a starter last season for Smyrna's junior varsity team and should help out a strong varsity program in 2025. As a pitcher, Kayden is a dominating presence in the circle. If she can reel in control over her secondary pitches, she could be poised for a breakout season in 2025 or 2026. If she continues to develop, Kayden definitely has the skills and size to play at the next level.

Allyssa didn't pick up a softball until four years ago, so she must be a quick study. The Conrad Schools of Science student-athlete is turning into a pitcher's nightmare in the Delaware travel ball circuit with a steady bat and some of the best power seen in her age group. The catcher and first baseman wants to one day play Division 1 softball, and she is working hard to accomplish that goal. Allyssa is continuing to hone her craft behind the plate, which will be massively important in her recruiting trajectory. Those efforts could turn her into a top backstop in the state by the time she's a senior.

Emma is primed to have a strong 2025, both at Caesar Rodney High School and with the Delaware Heat. She has been on the travel softball circuit since she was 10 years old, and even then she was playing up in age. Now, the right-handed pitcher and utility player has settled in and is excelling for both of her teams. She has the glove to solidify a spot up the middle of the infield if pitching is not in her future, and she can also serve as a strong option at second base. While she is a tad undersized, Emma's tenacity while playing is going to make her a bulldog for one lucky college program.

With the calendar now flipped to 2025, spring practices are that much closer to taking place. In some places, outdoor practices can begin within the next month. But in a state like Delaware, talented players have a little while longer before their training moves back outside.
