The Frontier Regional shortstop has put together three tremendous seasons at the varsity level and is only getting better. She collected her 100th career high school hit in a semifinal matchup last spring for a strong program that only looks to get better this season. After bursting onto the scene her freshman year with a .361 batting average, five home runs and 26 RBI, Steele continued to make her presence known in her sophomore campaign. She batted .550, which put her near the top of the state in that category, while also continuing her power surge and high productivity. The Norton High School star has already brought home enough accolades to fill up a trophy case. She boasts a .405 career batting average with a microscopic strikeout rate and is a perfect 23-for-23 in stolen base attempts. And then she steps into the circle. Liana held one of the lowest ERAs in the state of Massachusetts this past season on her way to being named All-Scholastic and TVL Pitcher of the Year. Since joining Norton's varsity team, Liana is 40-7 with 288 strikeouts and 11 shutouts. She just recently crossed the 400-strikeout mark with Springfield International as only a sophomore. She helped lead her team to a 15-3 record last spring and a clinch of the Suburban West league title. Her highlight reel is full of diving plays and throws across the diamond that demonstrate the strength of her arm, and it will be her calling card as she moves on to the next level of her playing career. Grace's offensive side of her game needs some attention, but once she irons out the minor flaws that come with any young player's swing, she's bound to get on base more consistently and become an even greater threat at the plate. After a stellar first two years at the varsity level, she went down with hip labrum surgery. But the videos coming out of her recovery show she's well on her way back to being the star she was before. Even at 50% power, it's clear that Tessa has a strong, compact swing that allows her to keep the barrel in the zone for a long time. The injury may push her off the catching spot and into a corner infield role, but she has the next two seasons to hone her skills for the next level.
