As we start turning the page to 2025, college softball coaches will also turn the page to the next wave of players who can fill out their rosters. And in Connecticut, there's no shortage of youth softball talent.

Below, Prep Softball highlights some of the top talent from Connecticut in the high school graduating class of 2027.

Allison made a splash in 2024 during her first year at the varsity level. In a strong league filled with many talented programs, she helped Parish Hill accumulate a 16-9 record. While playing in 20 games with the varsity team, Allison hit for a .321 average, while also racking up 19 RBI off three doubles and a triple. During these next two years, Allison can grow into a strong, power-hitting corner infielder who anchors Parish Hill's lineup and helps them continue to win double-digit games. As she further develops, based on her strong freshman season, Allison should get plenty of calls from college coaches.

Any middle infielder who can hit for a strong average, while also putting together highlight-reel catches throughout the season is certainly off to a hot start in her high school softball career. Fenway began her first high school campaign at Hale Ray High School in Moodus, Connecticut with a bang. Through 22 games, she batted .333 with 16 RBI and three doubles, while also legging out a pair of triples and even serving up one home run. At 5-foot-1, speed is certainly part of her game, but having the ability to drive the ball from gap to gap is something that'll definitely be appealing to college coaches. With a big year at the plate in the spring followed by her continued strong glove progressing in the field, Fenway should draw some interest from coaches at the next level.

Sarah is a player who has always hit for a strong average and been one of the difference makers on whichever team she's on. Even dating back to the fall season when she was 11, Sara batted well over .300 and knocked in runners left and right. This past spring, she batted .345 through 26 games, with 11 doubles, one triple and 10 RBI, walking 11 times and striking out just 10 times in 98 plate appearances. With that kind of bat and true utility capabilities, Sara should have interest from college coaches if she posts solid spring and summer results.

Although Jackie didn't get much playing time at the varsity level last spring, she has still done enough in the travel ball circuit to earn a spot on this list. Jackie is a powerful pitcher who is quickly rounding her repertoire into form in order to help Wilton as the team's future ace. With more consistency in the circle, Jackie can carve out a true role for herself on the varsity team this year, even if that means honing her new pitches down at the JV level for a few weeks before stepping up for some key moments during the season. Once everything comes together, she can be one of the top pitching prospects in Connecticut.

Kylie is a sturdy backstop, and has always been throughout her youth softball career. Despite being a bit undersized behind the dish, Kylie makes up for it by being swift on her feet and agile enough to get out of her crouch in plenty of time to mow down would-be base-stealers. If she can continue to demonstrate that she has the arm strength to throw runners out, and is quick enough to keep making plays on defense, colleges coaches will certainly overlook her lack of size during her recruiting process.

As we start turning the page to 2025, college softball coaches will also turn the page to the next wave of players who can fill out their rosters. And in Connecticut, there's no shortage of youth softball talent.
