Below, Prep Softball highlights some of the top players to watch from Arkansas in the class of 2027.    Known as “Big Show” for her electrifying batting practices, Lola Kirby is a pitcher and hitter from Siloam Springs, Arkansas. At 5'7”, Lola combines size and skill to dominate on the field. A 4.3 GPA honors student at Siloam Springs, she's as impressive in the classroom as she is on the diamond. As a freshman, Lola earned All-Conference honors as a varsity starting pitcher. Her fastball consistently ranges between 59 and 63 mph, with a top speed of 65 mph. She complements her heat with a powerful drop ball, curve, and screwball, adding tons of movement to her pitches. Offensively, Lola is a consistent threat, with an exit velocity of 77 mph.     A utility player with a flair for versatility, Lakin Griffin has been making waves on the diamond and beyond. Currently excelling as an outfielder and first baseman for Firecrackers 2027/Corbitt, Lakin is also a multi-sport athlete, playing basketball for Benton High School. Off the field, Lakin is active in her community, participating in church activities and spending quality time with family and friends. Her athletic prowess has earned her invitations to camps at Ole Miss, Louisiana Tech, and Southeast Missouri. Lakin's adaptability and dedication set her apart as a player who can thrive at any position on the softball field.     Kellar is a standout catcher from Pottsville, Arkansas, who plays for Vision Elite 18U. Offensively, she boasts an impressive .439 batting average, showcasing power to all fields. Defensively, her leadership and control behind the plate are second to none. Madison's ability to contribute consistently on both sides of the game makes her a pivotal player. Her knack for reading the game and delivering in clutch moments has solidified her reputation as one of the top catchers in her class.     Hailing from Rogers, Arkansas, Osborne has already established herself as a force to be reckoned with. Known for her arsenal of six pitches, she commands the circle with precision and versatility. Her repertoire includes a curve, rise, screw, drop, changeup, and blazing fastball, clocking in at 62-65 mph. Hitters find themselves at her mercy, especially when she dials down her changeup to a deceptive sub-40 mph speed. In the fall of 2023, she produced an extraordinary season, striking out 200 batters over 113 innings and maintaining a jaw-dropping 0.50 ERA. Her dominance and composure under pressure have made her one of the most sought-after pitchers in her class.     Rexie Crane is a dual-threat pitcher and first baseman who is as dedicated to the game of softball and perfecting her craft as they come. A sophomore at Benton High School, Rexie throws a fastball in the 61-63 mph range and continues to refine her game as a member of the Arkansas Firecrackers Corbitt travel team. Rexie's passion for the game drives her to seek constant improvement. So far, she has attended camps at Southeast Missouri, the University of Louisiana, and Arkansas, showcasing her potential and commitment to competing at the next level. Her versatility as a player and unyielding work ethic make her a name to remember.
