Thornton is a multi-sport athlete competing in softball, basketball, and golf. She is also an active member of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA). She earned All-State honors during high school softball season and helped her team to the 3A state tournament. Last summer, Thornton played with the Firecrackers Arkansas - Lemley 2024 team and grew a ton as a player. Playing up allowed Thornton to face some of the toughest competition in the country at the 18U level and work to become the best version of herself. Thornton is known for her ability to mix speeds, keeping hitters off balance, and her excellent spin on her pitches. She commands the zone and does it confidently, which is a huge reason for her opportunity to play up for the summer. Thornton is known for her leadership, drive, and strong character off the field. She is an exceptional student-athlete, showcasing both academic and athletic dedication. Stuckey primarily pitched for the McCrory team and performed exceptionally well. In 2023, she earned the 2A All-Conference award. Stuckey is also a proud member of the Firecracker Arkansas-Madkiff team, and has quickly established herself as a standout third baseman. She makes phenomenal plays at the hot corner with her strong arm and quick reflexes. Offensively, Stuckey possesses considerable power at the plate, showcasing her ability to hit any pitch within the strike zone effectively. Stuckey consistently finds time to work on her skills, whether tossing a ball against the wall to practice her short hops or getting extra batting practice in. She is another strong student-athlete who focuses on both academics and athletics. Morrow contributed to the Benton High School softball team winning the 5A 2023 state championship. She is also a new proud Firecrackers Arkansas - 16U Corbitt team member and has been a phenomenal addition to the squad. Morrow's ability to play anywhere on the field sets her apart from others, whether in the infield, outfield, or occasionally stepping in as a pitcher. However, she excels in the outfield or corner infield, where her athleticism can shine. In the outfield, Morrow is willing to do whatever it takes to make a play, whether putting her body on the line to dive for a ball or tracking a deep fly ball, all while showcasing her speed. At the plate, Morrow steps into the box with a ton of confidence and power. Morrow is a consistent power and in-the-gap type of hitter, all while looking to take extra bases with her hustle out of the box. Azrael Morrow's combination of speed, power, and determination makes her a standout player poised for success at the next level.</p>    <h2 class="wp-block-heading">Arkansas Thunder</h2>    <p class="text-gray-700">Kendall Watson stands out as a driven student-athlete known for her exceptional work ethic and quiet leadership. Watson attends Malvern High School where she maintains a 3.7 GPA. Not only does she kill it in the classroom, but she also kills it on the field. Watson is a right-handed pitcher, third baseman, and a proud member of the Arkansas Thunder 2007 team and the Malvern softball team. Watson quickly made a statement at Malvern with her outstanding playing abilities. In her 2024 high school season, Watson dominated the circle, pitching over 120 innings and recording nearly 100 strikeouts. Watson earned 4A All-Conference honors in her first two high school seasons and 4A All-State honors as a sophomore. Watson remains a powerhouse in the circle for her Thunder team and at the plate. A powerful hitter with impressive speed is an elite combination at the plate. Watson can step into the box and completely change the game's outcome with one swing. Miller plays for Lake Hamilton High School and the Arkansas Thunder 2007 team, excelling as a shortstop and outfielder. Miller showcases her athleticism with exceptional plays in the outfield, at shortstop, or running the bases, demonstrating her versatility. For Lake Hamilton High School, Miller has done exceptionally well in the classroom with a 3.6 GPA. Miller earned 2023 and 2024 All-Conference honors and the 2024 Lady Wolf award for best player, character, and leader. Offensively, Miller has a unique blend of small ball and power when she steps into the box. She can lay down a bunt to get on base and hit for power as well. Once she gets on base, she showcases her speed and keeps the defense on its toes while she steals bases. Defensively, Miller showcases her athleticism at shortstop and in the outfield. She is known for being a versatile and reliable player, proving she can play numerous positions well. Myers is a key player for the Arkansas Thunder 2007 and Central Arkansas Christian team. In her first two high school seasons, Myers earned All-Conference honors and a spot on the 2A All-State Tournament team. Myers is a genuine triple threat, showcasing her speed and power in various ways. Depending on how the defense shifts, she decides whether she will bunt, slap, or hit away. She uses a high softball IQ to her advantage at the plate, on the bases, and on defense. As stated by her coach, Myers may be one of the toughest outs in her class. Defensively, Myers has played every position on the field for the Thunder, even being left-handed, and has done exceptionally well. Primarily, she plays outfield and can showcase her speed and athleticism. Reilly's dedication to academics goes beyond the classroom—she also earns accolades in tech theatre and contributes as co-editor of the Cabot High School newspaper. She is also the house manager for the Cabot Theatre, demonstrating her leadership and commitment to her school community. Reilly is dedicated to the game, playing for both her high school and Arkansas Blast teams. She is a power hitter and leads the Arkansas Blast in homers, showcasing her ability to drive the ball. Known for her lightning-fast speed, Poe is a constant offensive threat at the plate, utilizing slapping and small ball to easily reach base and take extra bases. Schoonover maintains an impressive 4.3 GPA while also being a standout softball player. She received a 4A First-Team All-Conference honor as a sophomore at Gravette High School. She is a key player on the Vision Gold 18U team and is known for being one of the top power hitters on the team. Her ability to hit for power against some of the top pitching competition out there sets her apart from others. Schoonover thrives under pressure, always stepping up to help her team. She is a versatile defender, excelling at both corners of the infield and in the outfield. She also catches for her high school team, presenting her all-around skills and strong arm. Schoonover is a natural leader who brings steadiness to the team and supports her teammates. As a sophomore, she earned 6A All-Conference and All-State honors, making history as the first player from Heritage to receive All-State recognition since 2015. Her success on the field is a direct result of her dedication and drive to improve consistently. Strickland, a Vision Gold 18U team member, is known for her vocal leadership, support of her teammates, and ability to keep her team focused. Her ability to keep her teammates motivated and together, especially during challenging games, speaks to who Joclyn Strickland is. Strickland showcases elite power at the plate by regularly hitting solid line drives and demonstrating her ability to knock the ball out of the park. Defensively, Strickland is just as effective. She is an effective spin-ball pitcher in the circle and excels as a solid first baseman on the field. Strickland keeps batters guessing with her elite spin and changing speeds.
