Each pitcher listed here has amazing talent and passion for the game, and several will soon accomplish their dreams of playing at the highest level of softball.   See below for uncommitted pitchers to watch in the Southeast.    The potential of Airebis Cox, also known as "Bita," is what first caught Coach Jimmy Hutchins' eye. He states, "Bita came to our team last fall and was good, but the upside is what got my attention. I have watched her progress physically and mentally in such a short time." She needed to acclimate to a higher level of competition, and in a short time, she exceeded those expectations. She is a player with the type of passion and work ethic that will take her far. Bita evolved at the plate as the season continued and is developing tremendous power in her swing. She finished the summer season with a .380 batting average and a .440 on-base percentage. The pitches in her inventory include a fastball, curve, and rise ball. Each pitch has its own wicked spin and movement that she uses to beat hitters. Last summer, she pitched 90.1 innings with 87 strikeouts and only 19 walks.     Brooklyn Rutherford is a workhorse in the circle and at the plate. Her arsenal of pitches includes a fastball, drop, change, and rise ball. Her rise is dirty, with an almost perfect vertical break, and her pitch speeds average in the mid-to-low 60s. Brooklyn had a low ERA of 1.98 and 125 strikeouts during her summer ball season. She is one of those extremely coachable players who listens with intention and adjusts quickly. A beast with a bat, she hit for power and finished with a high batting average of .481. Not only is she smart on the field, but she is also bright in the classroom. Brooklyn is part of her high school's National Honor Society and is ranked second in her class. She has visited several Division I schools, including ETSU, Radford, and Virginia Tech.     You can search high and low, but you will find very few 2028s in the nation with Addi's size, power, athleticism, and abilities. Her skill is through the roof, and she's only a freshman. She excels at every aspect of the game, including hitting, pitching, fielding, and running the bases. She's a unique mixture of ambition and composure, particularly for her age. She constantly pushes herself to succeed and tests her abilities against hitters much older and more experienced than herself. As an 8th grader, Addi started for her high school team and was named to the All-East Region Team (AA). She pitched 54 innings with 35 strikeouts and a 3.75 ERA. A talented hitter, she finished the season with a .344 batting average and a .382 on-base percentage. As Addi progresses, the sky is the limit for her.     Savannah is a catalyst for her team as both a pitcher and hitter. Even though she is only a freshman this year, she gets the job done and takes care of business. She utilizes her high velocity and legit spin to dominate hitters at the plate. Her personal speed record is 67 mph, but she tends to stay in the mid-60s. Her pitches include a curve, change, screw, and rise ball, which are all impressive in their own right. During her last school season, she led her team to an undefeated championship, going 8-0. She pitched 41 innings with 104 strikeouts, a .68 ERA, and a .086 batting average against. She can throw heat and dominate, while also smashing home runs herself. Savannah led her conference in home runs and continues that trend with her travel team.     Caylee, also known as "KK", brings the perfect blend of versatility and power to her game. She annihilates hitters with her high velocity and spin as well as her devastating changeup. Caylee has a fantastic command of her fastball, screw, changeup, and rise, and can throw to all quadrants while also mixing speeds. When she isn't pitching, you can find her in the clean-up spot of her team's lineup showing off her strength. In her freshman season, she blasted 14 home runs with a .404 batting average and a .506 on-base percentage. She is a leader by example in her passion for the game on and off the field. Caylee always has an unselfish mentality and cares deeply about the success of her teammates.
