Meet The Washington Voodoo's Top Uncommitted Players

<p>The Washington Voodoo is a club softball organization focused on developing talented athletes and upholding solid values. Their commitment to greatness goes beyond the field, as they pride themselves on academic excellence and self-growth of individuals. This organization provides youth softball student-athletes with competitive opportunities and exposure to collegiate programs, while also instilling the importance of teamwork and discipline in them. The Voodoo motto is as follows: Character counts, and attitude matters.</p>   <p>See below for the organization's top uncommitted players from both the 2025 and 2026 recruiting classes.</p>   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">Seniors (2025)</h2>    <p class="text-gray-700">The first senior to be highlighted is Alexa Saladin, a dedicated catcher and utility player from Inglemoor High School. Alexa is an exceptional student-athlete, maintaining a 3.89 GPA. She has seen great success with her high school team, and in 2023, she received 4A KingCo honorable mention honors, and in 2024, she received 4A KingCo first-team honors as a utility player. She demonstrates her natural leadership and incredible work ethic in her second year with the Voodoo team. She is always looking for ways to improve herself and her teammates. At the plate, she has quickly become a reliable hitter who hits for power and with consistency. Her outstanding speed makes her a consent threat on the base paths and often causes chaos for opposing teams. Alexa is able to flush mistakes and errors quickly to focus on the next play. A genuinely selfless player, she prioritizes the well-being of her pitchers and teammates. Alexa is an outstanding student-athlete who brings leadership, speed, power, and the ability to excel in the classroom. She would love to study kinesiology/physical therapy to continue her selfless ways of assisting others in the future.</p>     <p class="text-gray-700">Aubrey Bauer is a feisty outfielder and second baseman from Redmond High School. At Redmond High School, she is a focused student with a 3.5 GPA, while taking AP and honors classes. Aubrey has done fantastic for the Redmond team as a starter. In 2023 and 2024, she received 4A KingCo honorable mention honors. She is new to the Voodoo team this year, but has already brought an exceptional attitude and her contagious smile to the team that does not go unnoticed. Aubrey shows her love for the game day in and day out, ensuring she is not taking any moment for granted. Her speed may be one of the most significant assets to her game. She has excellent range in the outfield and at second base, and steals bases like no other. At the plate, she is a chaos-creator who finds a way to get on, and has both power and speed. Aubrey has played a solid second base for Voodoo, keeping everything in the infield and never taking a pitch off. She makes challenging plays look easy. Aubrey is also known for being a coachable player who is willing to listen, learn, and find ways to improve each day. Aubrey is a great student-athlete looking to play at the next level, while also gaining an excellent education, playing the sport she loves, and being provided with resources to help her succeed.</p>    <h2 class="wp-block-heading">Juniors (2026)</h2>    <p class="text-gray-700">Meet Lucy Ford, an exceptional junior out of Woodinville High School. She is a phenomenal outfielder known for her incredible speed and bold plays on the field for her high school and travel team, WA Voodoo Rhinehart. During this past high school season, Lucy did great things, earning herself a 4A King Co second-team honor as an outfielder. This is her second season with Voodoo, and she has truly transformed as a standout player. Lucy puts her body on the line by making incredible plays. Whether it's making diving catches or running through breakaway fences to rob a home run, Lucy will do whatever she needs to in order to help her team defensively. She brings a positive attitude, confidence, and energy while playing that her teammates look up to. Lucy is also a lethal triple-threat. She is a left-handed batter with fantastic speed that will do anything to keep the defense off balance: slap, bunt, or hit away, making her fantastic in the leadoff spot. She has an excellent work ethic and always looks to do the little things on and off the field. Finally, academically, Lucy is a focused student with a 3.9 GPA who hopes to study biochemistry in college.</p>     <p class="text-gray-700">Meet another outstanding junior, Abby Haapala. She is a right-handed pitcher from Skyline High School. Abby excels both on the field and in the classroom, with a 3.78 GPA. She has also done great for her high school team, as she received 4A second-team all-conference honors as a pitcher this past season. Now, regarding the WA Voodoo, she is in her third season with the organization. She has become their go-to pitcher by consistently showcasing her determination and skills in the circle. She effectively demonstrates an incredible ability to target all quadrants of the zone with command of her spin and location. By mixing her pitches well, she often keeps batters off balance. Abby finds a way to make it happen at the plate, too. She is a natural athlete, possessing a unique blend of work ethic and talent that sets her apart from others.</p>     <p class="text-gray-700">Morgan Strain is the final junior to be highlighted from the WA Voodoo organization. Morgan shines as a catcher and utility player for Skyline High School and her Voodoo team. At Skyline, she has excelled in the classroom with a 3.5 GPA. During the 2024 high school season, Morgan received 4A KingCo honorable mention honors. This year marks Morgan's fourth with the organization, making her its longest-tenured player. Despite enduring a minor injury, Morgan continues to show up to practice. She finds new ways to improve her skills, while also showing support for her teammates. She has phenomenal athleticism and speed, making great blocks behind the plate and pushing herself on the base paths. Offensively, Morgan is solid at the plate, consistently putting the ball in play and making things happen for her team. She also brings power to the plate, frequently turning singles into doubles and finding a way to put herself in scoring position. That type of effort should make a significant difference in her recruiting journey.</p>    <p></p>   <p></p>
